Everything in the known Universe and then some.: "Web 2.0 coverage Diversifying into job sites

Why does every one covering Web 2.0 like Techcrunch, Alarm clock and closer home Venturewoods starting a jobs site. Is it that it makes good business sense to have a revenue stream which your coverage anyway feeds automatically or that it fulfills the needs of the audience of this site, they know what’s the latest and coolest and now they can become part of it or is it that the regular job search engines do not cover startup jobs. Any other examples of this latest trend ?"

Pravin, This is Alok Mittal from venturewoods (http://www.venturewoods.org) -- the reason we have started the startup job exchange there is because a lot of people came back and told us they were unable to hire startup style employees -- and a lot of people came and said they found startup style opportunities difficult to access. Note that these are not people who want to be the 100th employee (which is still a startup phase) -- but the first few. So the focus here is fairly niche. I dont know if this is ever monetizable :) As they say, money is everything; and then I want something more...
